Wine & Beer
Here are my shots for wine and my second shot of beer. You can click on the photos to see larger versions. This particular shoot was so much fun! Thanks to Amanda & Mary for helping me. :)
I can't decide between the two wine shots...what do you think? The first is more of a 'classic' look, but I really like the splash in the second. For the first shot, I just used the softbox, and for the second with the beer, I wanted to highlight the glass and make it glow, so I used a second light w/ the snoot, and the softbox above. Any suggestions or comments would be great! :) Thanks.

I like the movement of the wine in the second one... the colors in the beer shot are cool and I like the highlight you created!
I think I like the first wine shot better because of the focus. I like the splashing in the second one, but the tip of the splash is out of focus. You also have a nice gradient on the background of the first one. The lighting on the beer is nice. Good job!
The first shot is more like the example that was given, but i do agree that the movement in the second one is really cool. the one thing that distracts me is the line in the background, the edge between the table and backdrop? you may want to blur that a little bit more, otherwise very nice!.
The beer shot is interesting. love the foam.. the one thing i might change is the angle of the beer bottle. it at an angle and looks like its gonna fall off the page. Unless that was what you were going for i might reshoot this a little straighter, but good composition and lighting on the beer.
I actually did tilt the image on purpose, because I kind of liked it that way, and also when it wasn't tilted, the glass itself looked tilted. I'm still not sure about it though, so any more feedback on that would be good :) Thanks!
